Meatballs in tomato sauce
Albóndigas en salsa

Main meal

Ingredients
Makes 6
Mince meat 1/2 kg (1/2 pork & 1/2 beef)
Eggs 3
Milk 1 glass
Garlic 1-2 cloves
Cellery 1/2 stick (finely chopped)
Parsley
Lemon juice
Breadcrumbs
Tomatoes 1/4 kg (ripe)
Stock (preferably "cocido", otherwise vegetable)
Wine
Bay leave
Oil
Salt
Flour
   
 
Method

  • Mix the mince with the eggs (previously beaten), breadcrumbs, crushed garlic,parsley, lemon juice and milk

  • Once well mixed, roll the meatballs the size you like and cover in flour

  • Fry the meatballs in a frying pan and put aside

  • Fry the tomato together with garlic, cellery and parsley in the same oil

  • When the sauce is ready. put it together with the meatballs in a saucepan, adding the stock, wine and bay leave

  • Boil for a few minutes


They go really nicely on tagliattelly or spaghetty
